Privacy policy
This site links to projects by codekredo and is funded by ads from Google AdSense. Google processes data about your visit for this, but only uses advertising cookies with your consent. Everything else on the site works without cookies or tracking. This page explains the details.
Who is responsible
The operator of this website, codekredo, is responsible for processing your data. You can reach us at info@codekredo.com. This policy applies to codekredo.com; the projects on its subdomains have their own privacy policies.
Server logs
Every time you open a page, the web server automatically records:
- your IP address
- date and time of the request
- the requested address, the HTTP status code and the amount of data transferred
- the page you came from (referrer), if your browser sends it
- your browser and operating system (user agent)
We need this data to deliver the site, find errors and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The logs are rotated daily and deleted after ten days at the latest. We don't use them for statistics and don't combine them with other data.
Protection against attacks
The server automatically checks requests for attack patterns and temporarily blocks addresses after repeated failed attempts. If a request is flagged, the request and your IP address are stored in a separate security log. These logs are deleted after eight weeks at the latest. The legal basis is again Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Ads from Google AdSense
The ad service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. When you open a page, your browser loads a script from Google. For technical reasons, Google receives your IP address, the address of the page and information about your browser and device.
Before Google uses cookies or similar technologies, for example to personalise ads, limit how often you see them or detect fraud, a consent dialog from Google asks for your permission. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); storing and reading information on your device is also subject to the national rules implementing Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. If you decline, Google only shows limited ads without such cookies.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet. Google's advertising cookies usually expire after 13 months at most.
Google may also transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and is therefore covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
You can change your choice at any time via “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page. You can also turn off personalised ads from Google at adssettings.google.com. How Google uses data from sites like this one is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites; Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Apart from the ads: no cookies, no tracking
The site itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics services. Its stylesheet, icon and own script come from this server; only Google's ad service connects to other servers.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the message once the matter is settled, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Just write to info@codekredo.com.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR), for example via “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
